Longest AI Video Generator (2026): 30-Second Takes Tested

The longest AI video generator makes 30 seconds in one generation, among those we checked in October 2026: Seedance 2.5, Wan 3.0 and Higgsfield's Cinema Studio 4.0 all stop there, and Google's Veo 3.1 still stops at 8. Anything longer is built, either by extending a video clip or by stitching scenes together. We ran the same 15-second scene through two video generators on 5 October 2026: Wan 3.0 played every beat of the prompt in one take, MiniMax H3 Fast skipped one and cost a thirteenth of the credits.

  • Longest single generation from any AI video generator we checked: 30 seconds. Seedance 2.5, Wan 3.0 and Higgsfield Cinema Studio 4.0 all reach it.
  • Longest without stitching by hand: extension chains. Seedance 2.5 and Higgsfield extend a clip in further 30-second rounds; Google documents 7-second extensions for Veo.
  • Minutes, not seconds: avatar and story tools. Synthesia allows up to 4 hours per video, HeyGen up to 30 or 60 minutes on paid plans, LongStories up to 15 minutes.
  • Our test: the same 15-second pier scene took Wan 3.0 239 seconds and 450 credits on SayMaker, and MiniMax H3 Fast 107 seconds and 35 credits.

Longest AI video generator test, 5 October 2026: frames at 0, 5, 10 and 15 seconds from the same prompt. Wan 3.0 shows the woman in a yellow raincoat walking the pier, at the coffee cart and drinking beside a seagull; MiniMax H3 Fast follows her from behind past the boats and the cart to the railing

The longest AI video generator by model (read 5 Oct 2026)

"Single generation" is one prompt, one video clip. "With extensions" is how far the vendor says a video can be continued. Durations come from each AI video generator's own documentation unless the row says otherwise; SayMaker credits are its live prices.

Third-party guides, including invideo's August 2026 roundup and gocrazy.ai, put Veo's extension ceiling at 148 seconds. Google Cloud's own extension page, read on 5 October 2026, says each extension adds 7 seconds to an input video of up to 30 seconds, so a Veo video on its Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform tops out at 37 seconds (36 if you start from an 8-second clip and keep extending). If you plan a video around 148 seconds, check the surface you will actually use.

Our test: the same 15-second scene on two AI video generators

Wan 3.0 played all five beats of our 15-second scene; MiniMax H3 Fast played four for a thirteenth of the credits. On 5 October 2026 we wrote one scene with five beats and ran it at 15 seconds and 480p on two video generators: Wan 3.0 (up to 30 seconds per generation) and MiniMax H3 Fast (the lowest price per second on SayMaker), through their API providers.

The prompt: one continuous shot of a woman in a yellow raincoat and red hat walking a harbor pier at dusk, passing fishing boats, stopping at a striped coffee cart, taking a cup from the vendor, turning to the water and lifting the cup as a seagull lands on the railing.

Frame at 10 seconds from the Wan test: the woman in the yellow raincoat at the striped coffee cart, holding the cup she has just been handed

In this 15-second pier test, Wan played every requested beat in order. MiniMax H3 Fast kept the shot steady and the character intact, but it compressed the story: the purchase never happens and the cup turns up in her hand. That was the trade in our run: one skipped beat for a thirteenth of the credits.

Frame at 12 seconds from the MiniMax H3 Fast test: the woman seen from behind at the pier railing, with one seagull taking off and a second seagull standing on the rail

What the test does not cover: 30-second takes, other scenes and other resolutions. Run your own scene once at the full length before paying an AI video generator for many of them.

AI video longer than 10, 30 or 60 seconds: three ways

1. One generation, up to 30 seconds

Pick a video generator whose single generation covers your length: Seedance 2.5, Wan 3.0 or Higgsfield for up to 30 seconds, LTX 2.5 Fast for up to 20, MiniMax H3 Fast for up to 15. Kling 3.0 on SayMaker and Veo 3.1 stop at 10 and 8. One generation means one prompt, one consistent shot and no seams.

2. Extend the clip

Seedance 2.5's announcement shows an extension prompt that continues "from the visuals and subjects in @Video 1" for another 30 seconds, and Higgsfield extends scenes forward or backward. Google documents Veo extensions in 7-second steps. Video extensions keep the look, but each round is another paid generation.

3. Stitch scenes

A minute-long video from these video generators is several clips joined in an editor. To keep a character the same across clips, take the last frame of one clip and use it as the start image of the next (image-to-video), and repeat the same description of the person in every prompt. The start-image step is the same one we used in our photo-to-video ad guide.

A one-minute clip, in practice: two 30-second Wan 3.0 takes at 480p cost 1,800 credits on SayMaker, or four 15-second MiniMax H3 Fast takes cost 140.

When you need minutes: full-length AI video generators

The longest free AI video generator

HeyGen's free plan gives 3 videos a month of up to 1 minute each, the longest free length of any AI video generator we checked on an official pricing page. On the SayMaker AI video generator, a new account gets 20 credits; a 4-second MiniMax H3 Fast clip fits in that, and a 15-second one costs 35 credits. Google Flow's daily credits are reported by makeinfluencer.ai at 50 a day for Veo; Google's own page did not state it in our check. To try a long take on SayMaker, open the video generator, pick MiniMax H3 Fast and set 15 seconds.

Make a 30-second video on SayMaker

SayMaker puts the longest single-generation video generators on one credit balance: Seedance 2.5 and Wan 3.0 at up to 30 seconds, LTX 2.5 Fast at 20, MiniMax H3 Fast at 15, with Veo 3.1 and Kling 3.0 for shorter shots. Pick the length in the video generator before you run it; the credit price updates with the duration. For a longer piece, the SayMaker Agent plans the shots, runs them and shows the credits before anything starts. Plans are on the pricing page.

Longest AI video generator FAQ

Can AI generate long videos?
Yes, but not in one take. As of October 2026, no AI video generator we checked makes more than 30 seconds in one generation (Seedance 2.5, Wan 3.0, Higgsfield). Longer videos are extended clip by clip or stitched from scenes, and avatar tools such as Synthesia and HeyGen produce videos of many minutes.

What is the maximum length of an AI-generated video?
For one generation, 30 seconds among the video generators we checked. With extensions, Google documents up to 37 seconds for an extended Veo video on its Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform. Assembled videos go far longer: Synthesia allows up to 4 hours per video.

Which AI makes 10 minutes video?
Avatar and story tools: Synthesia, HeyGen on paid plans (up to 30 or 60 minutes), AITuber (up to 20 minutes) and LongStories (up to 15 minutes). AI video generators make the clips; these tools join them.

How long does an AI video generator take?
In our test on 5 October 2026, a 15-second clip at 480p took 107 seconds on MiniMax H3 Fast and 239 seconds on Wan 3.0 from submit to finished file. Higher resolutions and busy hours take longer.
